Shogold

Est in 1979 Shogold is one of Qld oldest Golden Retriever Breeders and actively competes in the show ring, what started as a hobby quickly became a passion which carries on to this day and is reflected in how and why we breed.

Quality Carries On Has been our Motto from the start and continues on to this day we are not just breeding show quality goldens but temperamentally sound, family dogs just like our own dogs are always pets (Family Members) first.

We don’t just breed dogs without a purpose showing and judging are an integral part of what make us I am an International Accredited Gundog Show Judge and have been or are currently involved with many golden clubs both local and international. Our history of success is long with 1 Supreme Champion, 4 Grand Champions and countless Aust Champions all breed by Shogold.

At Shogold we go above the requirement for breeding all our dogs are tested for eyes, heart, hip, and elbows as well as DNA for all breed specific problems this program helps to improve the breed by only using Quality.

We raise all our puppies in a family environment and introduce them to everyday home life whether that be a movie night or playing with humans and toys this part of socialization we believe is important to start the process of having a well-tempered and trained Golden.
