Celtic Heart Border Collies is a professional kennel striving to breed sound, quality performance dogs from proven Purebred, ANKC Registered, Border Collies.

Registered with the Australian National Kennel Club (ANKC) as a Breeder, Exhibitor and Member of Dogs QLD #4100068471. I am an aspiring Conformation and Herding Judge with Dogs QLD, Accredited Steward, Writer and Orivet DNA Collection Agent.

At Celtic Heart our vision is to concentrate on breeding ‘quality rather than quantity’ and continuous improvement of correctness and preservation of the breed. Therefore, breed minimal litters a year which means considerable care is taken when planning suitable mating’s and producing quality puppies potentially for retention in Show Conformation or our Breeding Programme. Remaining puppies are usually sold on the Limited Register, unless prior arrangements have been made.

All Dogs and Bitches in our Kennels are examined by Gonioscopy and DNA tested for CEA, NCL, TNS, MDR1, Glaucoma and Hip/Elbow x-rayed and scored under the current ANKC recognised scheme.

Additionally a vital part of the breeding programme is to ensure that all dogs are actively involved in Herding which is part of the breeds natural instincts and heritage.
