Why Become a Member of Dogs Queensland
Dogs Queensland prides itself on promoting in every way the general improvement of the standard, breeding and exhibition of pure-bred registered dogs.
By joining Dogs Queensland, you will receive the following benefits:
Naturally, all rights and entitlements are to be exercised in accordance with the appropriate rules. Note that the Rules impose restrictions on the exhibition of desexed dogs and dogs which are in other specific categories, such as in the Limited Register or not on the Mains Register.
Memberships are NOT available via online services, please print and complete the forms below and email them to info@dogsqueensland.org.au.
This Membership is for people wanting to enter Dogs Australia/Dogs Queensland events or become a registered Dogs Australia Registered breeder. This Membership will only cover you from the date the application is received in our office until 31 Dec 2025) and is only open between 1 July to 30 Sept.
Note: If you have entered shows or trials or bred any puppies prior to 1 July 2025, you will need to submit a New Membership 2025 application to cover you for the year (see application below)

This Membership is for people wanting to:
General/Full Membership is from January to December each year
You need to renew your Membership (and Prefix if you have one) each year between (Oct and March)
Dogs Queensland Rule Book – we suggest you familiarise yourself with these rules if you are wanting to become a member.
New Member Introductory Letter - we suggest you read through this letter before becoming a member.
New Membership - Single or Joint Membership
If you require a joint membership both applicants must reside at the same address. Proof of residency is also required with these applications e.g. Drivers Licence front and back.
Note: the Dogs Australia Registered Pedigreed dog you list on the Membership application must be in the name of the applicant/s listed on the application. If the dog has not been transferred to you, please fill in the back of the pedigree certificate, have it signed by the applicant/s and breeder and post the original certificate to Dogs Queensland so the dog can be transferred (please keep a copy for yourself in case the post looses the certificate).

Further note: Any NEW Memberships (Full Membership/Pro-rata/Junior) or returning members (outside the renewal period), must go to the board for approval first. PLEASE ALLOW ABOUT 10 WORKING DAYS FOR THIS PROCESS. Your Membership must be FINANCIAL before you can participate in any activities; Showing/Dog Sports or Breeding.
As part of the Membership, we also offer Dog Sports. You can enter these events if you have a Dogs Australia Registered Pedigreed dog/s OR a dog that has been desexed or that is part of a Dogs Australia recognised working dog association or kindred body.
Associate Register Application (desexed dog)
(a desexing certificate with the dogs microchip must be supplied with the application)
Sporting Registration Application (part of a Dogs Australia recognised working dog association or kindred body).

Note: One of the above forms, must accompany the Membership application form if you are unable to provide a Dogs Australia Registered Pedigreed number.
If you obtain another Associate or Sporting register dog down the track you can and submit the appropriate form above.
Junior Membership – This membership is for children, aged between seven (7) to seventeen (17) years of age.
They must have a parent/grandparent or guardian (SPONSOR) who is a responsible Dogs Queensland member, accompany them.
The Junior Member may be a member of a Club but cannot vote or hold office.
They are entitled to show or trial dogs and make application for Champion or other titles.
They may hold a Prefix in partnership with a parent or guardian who is a responsible Dogs Queensland member. This Prefix may be transferred solely to the Junior Member when the Junior Member reaches the age of eighteen (18) years and both parties are in agreement.
All Junior Membership applications must be as a Single person – no Joint Memberships will be accepted.
No fees apply for a Junior Membership – but the sponsor must be a financial Member at all times for the Junior Member to hold Membership.
Note: If the responsible person is someone else other than a parent or grandparent (please state on the form who you are), you will also need to supply a letter stating the relationship between the sponsor and the Junior and that you take full responsibility for the Junior whilst handling and a further letter form the parent giving permission for you as the sponsor to look after the Junior member whilst at show/events etc.

New 2025 NEW Junior Member Application
Community Membership - This membership is for the general public not wanting to enter events or become a breeder and may either have a Dogs Australia Registered Pedigreed dog or a cross breed.
Note: Community Membership runs from Anniversary date (date received by our office) for 12 months e.g. July 2025 to July 2026
